Taking Body Measurement=To accurately take body measurements, use a cloth tape measure, stand tall with feet together, and breathe normally while measuringEnsure the tape is level and snug but not too tight

1. Basic Measurements:
  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the chest or bust, typically under the armpits. 
     
  • Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, usually just above the belly button, where the body bends. 
     
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips, usually around the buttocks. 
     
2. Additional Measurements:
Shoulder Width (Back): Measure across the back from the shoulder point to the other shoulder point. 
 
Arm Length: Measure from the shoulder point to the wrist, with the elbow bent. 
 
Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the bottom of the ankle. 
 
Outseam: Measure from the waist to the bottom of the ankle. 
 
Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of the thigh. 
 
Calf: Measure around the fullest part of the calf. 
 
Drafting Pattern= the process of creating a two-dimensional pattern from body measurements or a dress form, which serves as the foundation for garment construction. This involves taking precise measurements, drawing the pattern, and then creating a finalized set of patterns for various garment pieces.
